Anxiety
Anxiety is defined as a feeling of worry, nervousness, or unease, typically about an imminent event or something with an uncertain outcome. It is a physiological disorder meaning that it affects your cognitions as well as you feeling it in your body. Anxiety is a common experience that can be situational or psychiatric in nature, and it can sometimes be linked to depression.
Evidence-based treatments to decrease or eliminate anxiety include cognitive behavioral therapy, medication management and psychotherapy.
Anxiety is very common and treatable.
